My name is Elena. I'll be your artist for this evening. Would you like to try our new item on the menu, abstract art? Or would you prefer our classic dishes for this evening?
I was in one, today, about 3-4 hours ago on my way home from class. Was my nephew driving, not me. I don't fault him too much, it was dark, rainy, slippery, the breaks on the truck are kinda hinky, he was distracted by someone's highbeams in the rearview mirror at the right/wrong time and by the time he had a chance to react, we didn't have enough space to stop properly. In all honesty, I didn't realize the guy was stopped, the break lights looked like how someone's headlights catches the glass and illuminates them. I didn't realize until we were too close. Truck's front is totaled, it wouldn't start after my nephew turned it off. The guy's SUV had one tail-light gone and some denting to the back trunk. He was pissed but fuck... he got off light with car damage! My nephew and I came out with some stiffness and some bruising, well mainly me with the bruising. The guy in front of us was alright, just being pissed off. The cops were rather nice, making sure we were alright, weren't flipping out about the accident or attacking my nephew for being "irresponsible" considering he's a new driver. The one officer was nice enough to let me borrow his flashlight so I could look for my glasses which had come off during the wreck. My nephew was upset to hell and back because of what happened, he knew he was to blame for being momentarily distracted and slamming on the breaks when he heard me yell. He was afraid my parents would hate him for it because the truck is technically my pop's truck. They were just glad we're alright.
Going to take a picture of the truck tomorrow, but right now only have shots of my 'throat injury', marks where the seatbelt jabbed into my neck. Speaking of seatbelts, I double deuced my mom when I got home and went "SEE SEATBELTS SAVE LIVES!!" Because she has this paranoia about seatbelts being DEADLIER THAN CRASHING WITHOUT THEM... tchyeah right..
